As is illustrated in the chart,the number of China box office is roughly 30 billion in 2014,approximately 46 billion in 2016 and over 60 billion in 2019.In addition,Chinese cinemas welcomed 830 million views in 2014,nearly 1.4 billion in 2016 and over 1.7 billion in 2018.Apparently,China film industry has witnessed a rapid growth over the past five years.
What accounts for the increase?From my perspective,at least three factors contribute to the change.To begin with,the change is closely related to the rising income of the Chinese people.With the rapid improvement of living standards,more and more Chinese can afford multiple trips to cinemas,which is an excellent way to relax.More importantly,the change has a lot to do with the turning of the Chinese people’attitude towards and outlook on consumption.Finally,the change is enhanced and promoted by the government’s bettering policies as well as the more convenient channels to book movie tickets.
With the development of society,the rising trend is bound to continue for a couple of years in the future.As far as I am concerned,it’s a positive trend and should be encouraged since it is beneficial not merely to citizens but to the whole society.
